Know before you go

A few good
questions.

How do I book?

Call or email Davis to discuss your trip; text for a quick question. Send your name, contact details, dates, group size and ages, preferred tour, pickup location, activity interests, and any dietary or mobility needs. A target budget is optional. Davis confirms availability, the itinerary, and a full quote, then emails your participant agreement for review before sending a custom Square payment link. Your reservation is secured once the required payment is received and Davis confirms the booking. You will sign the participant agreement on the tour day before participation.

Are all tours private?

Your Real Alaska Outdoors tour or vehicle is private to your party. Mines and attractions may have other visitors, and independently operated excursions within a custom itinerary may be shared. Your itinerary will explain this.

Can you pick us up?

Yes. Pickup is arranged at your location. Gold tour pickups can be arranged anywhere in Anchorage, or you may meet at the agreed activity location.

What should I pack?

Bring layers, waterproof footwear and a rain jacket, a daypack, personal essentials, a camera, and charging gear for rides. Summer guests may also want insect protection and sun protection. Your itinerary may require additional items.

What about food and allergies?

Gold tours and summer guided multi-day service days include one meal, snacks, and drinks. Tell Davis about allergies and dietary needs before booking so he can discuss what can be accommodated. Winter meals are arranged separately; outdoor cooking is not provided.

Are there restrooms and cell service?

Bathroom breaks and food stops are part of tour planning. Some areas have limited or no cell service. Tell Davis about any needs that affect the schedule.

Can children or guests with limited mobility join?

Guests must be at least 8. Guests who can independently enter the Expedition may be accommodated on suitable trips. Gold activities involve physical work and uneven terrain. Discuss limitations before booking. Wheelchairs and pets cannot be accommodated.

Do you take last-minute bookings?

Yes, when available; they are never guaranteed. Allow 3–4 weeks for custom multi-day planning and booking, or two weeks for transportation-only multi-day arrangements.

How quickly will you respond?

Text anytime, with a same-day response goal. Call 9 a.m.–7 p.m. Alaska time; callbacks are generally by the next day. Email replies may take up to a week. These are response goals, not guarantees.
